I am a firm believer that Fall is the best time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is starting to cool and my favorite events occur during this time of the year. My preferred method is to go while Food & Wine Festival is going on and also tag in a Mickey’s Not So Scary! Last year was my first year going to Food & Wine at EPCOT and it taught me a lot. Now I’m able to put together these four tips for ultimate Disney Food & Wine Success.
- Get the Quick Service Dining Plan. This came in handy during our first visit. My family ate our way through the festival for an entire day. With the quick service dining plan, you can order three of the food samples and a beverage from a single location for one dining credit.
- Put Money on a Wristlet Gift Card. Around World Showcase there are kiosks that sell these giftcards with a bracelet attachment. I put money on this giftcard for more alcoholic beverages and sample that my dining plan wouldn’t fully cover. It is a lot easier for payment at the different booths versus using cash or a credit card.
- Do your Research. Food and Wine Festival can be very overwhelming. It is growing every year and there are so many booths. My favorite tool of choice comes from Disney Food Blog. They put together great Youtube videos and books to help you plan your Food & Wine Adventure! Check out their information here: https://bit.ly/2XutMn8
- Plan your Before and After. If you are looking to fully indulge at Food & Wine, consider staying on property or nearby. This festival has a lot of delightful alcoholic beverages and they are not to be missed. Do not drive after drinking at the festival all day. Your day will require planning whether you go for a day or over a few days. If you are curious to see how my first festival went, check out this post here: https://bit.ly/2jXxN0M
I hope you get a chance to go to Food & Wine Festival. This whole season at Disney is amazing! My festival favorite is the Blood Orange Mimosa at Shimmering Sips. Are you more drawn to the festival for food or beverages?
