I am so excited to be writing about this resort. This was my first experience at a Conrad by Hilton Hotels. The Conrad line is one of the premium brands for the hotel group and usually commands a pretty penny. I stayed at the Hilton next door to this property in August and decided I want to give the Conrad Ft. Lauderdale Beach a try for my pre cruise stay in November after seeing it.
When it comes to taking a cruise out of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale, I prefer to stay closer to Ft. Lauderdale Beach versus the marina. I’ve stayed at a couple hotels near the marina and was not impressed. Staying on the beach in August was a game changer. When it came for my November sailing, it wasn’t a question when it came to location.
I decided on the Conrad because I had never stayed at one before and it looked beautiful when I saw it in August. Right off the bat, I was impressed with their service. I booked a couple days span since I didn’t have my flight secured yet. When I needed to adjust my dates, the front office staff was very helpful.
I took a red eye flight into FLL so I booked the night before so I could get into my room at 6am. The front desk staff was so great upon check in, very informative and kind. Upon arrival to our room, my jaw dropped. I booked a one bedroom partial ocean view suite and it was beautiful. Keep in mind that every room in this hotel is a suite starting with a junior suite as the base level. These rooms are beautifully appointed with beautiful amenities from the robes to the kitchen items.
We took a quick nap and then headed down from brunch at the Terra Mare restaurant. I had the Korean BBQ Chicken and Waffle with bottomless mimosas. Both of these items were out of this world. They had about 8 different juice options for the mimosas. I really loved the Mango and Raspberry! Again, amazing service in this venue.
I had to come back to the hotel room to do a little work. The housekeeper serviced our room while I worked on the balcony. I have never experienced such excellent housekeeping services. She put things away in the closet for us, tidied up my charging wires, just so many little details. I was truly impressed.
The pool area was lovely. You can reserve loungers where the staff will put a lounger cover over the top and bring you towels. There is a bar nearby and servers walking around for food orders. You don’t need to wait for anything!
One of the most amazing features about this property was the text concierge. I received a text during my stay to check on me. I ended up responding later asking if they could print something for me. This desk agent sent me an email to send it to and sent up a bellman with my printed items within minutes. This was great!
When it came to embarkation day, I loved popping down to the cafe and get a smoothie. The cafe had some great pre made salads and sandwiches that you purchase. There were also coolers with alcoholic beverages and snack displays all over too. The best part though, gelato! I may or may not have bought a couple scoops late night one night!
I highly encourage you to check out the room tour above and to check out this hotel. It is on the more expensive side but it is a classic case of you get what you pay for. I want to plan a long weekend at this property to just soak it up. I cannot wait until I can return!
