Happy Monday Everyone!
I apologize for not getting a post up on Friday. I was in Toronto and I promise the missed post will be worth it when you see everything I have to share! It was an amazing trip and I have some great tips for anyone who wants to go. I’m deciding how best to handle the post. I’m thinking I’m going to have to split it up because I have so much information!
Getting back from this trip has inspired this week’s Monday brain dump. There are generally two types of vacations that people take. One is the R&R Vacation and the other is the Classic Vacation. Now I’m not saying that you can’t have any rest and relaxation on the classic and that your R&R isn’t a classic trip. I am talking about the overall sense of the trip.
Let’s start with the R&R vacation. These types of vacation usually entail you staying in one position per say. This is going to the beach in St. Augustine, taking the kids to a Great Wolf Lodge or hoping on a cruise to the Caribbean. The overall theme of these trips is general rest and relaxation. This is sitting in a beach chair working on your tan lines, getting a hotel room for the night in your home town to enjoy some pool time with the kids type of vacation.
On the other hand you have your Classic Vacation. This is your Disney World, New York City and Zion National Park type of vacation. These vacations are jam packed with sight seeing and hands on experiences. These types of trips usually will have you in bed early each night from all the walking that you have done. I always feel like I need another vacation after Disney. Thankfully all that walking helps counter all the local delicacies that you want to try!
Now which is more your style? I think I’m definitely a combination fan. Even though I cruise a good amount, I don’t do a good job of sitting still on those types of trips. I’m always wandering the ship, snorkeling, you name it! Comment below with your vacation style!
Have a great day everyone! Make sure you are following me on Periscope, Twitter and Instagram @haleewithaflair for all of the latest updates!

Good healthy mix for me to – Rest+Relaxation but have to see some local sites. I’m not a good sit at the beach for a week person.

I definitely agree with you there. I can relax for a day or so but then I need to be on the move! I really like being in the ocean exploring.
