Well here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am just under a month out from my next cruise and I know with the holidays that it is just going to fly by! When embarking on my vacations, I tend to start packing 3-4 weeks prior. Let’s be honest, I am not wearing my sundresses and bikinis in December. Rochester, New York is not really ideal for that apparel right now!
I will be leaving January 6th via Southwest for Puerto Rico to stay the night before my cruise. January 7th will be the set sail date for me on Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas. The intinerary is a 7 night Southern Caribbean cruise that ports in: St. Maarten, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and Barbados. I will also be staying the night after my cruise.
These type of trips are what I live and breathe for! There is just something about standing up on deck feeling the ocean air on your skin as the sunrises. I cannot get enough of that feeling of saltwater in my hair and my toes in the sand. My goals on these trips are to explore as much as possible, preferably in the water.
So with all that in mind, that is why I am very critical of my packing. This winter cruise is now in its third season with my friends. Since I am the one who works in the travel industry, I’m generally charged with the organization. I am that type of person that makes an itinerary overview with all my confirmation numbers. I make copies for everyone and even save everything as a massive PDF in my email in case I lose my hard copy.
I honestly believe that I can get better with my packing. I definitely tend to pack too much. As much as I say that it is better to pack more than be missing something, I want to do a better job. I keep telling myself that I need to come to the realization that I am generally in a swimsuit 80% of the time. It is also important to overcome the notion that your vacation is for you, not to impress anyone else.
I’m going to be shooting some more periscopes as I vacation prep. I hope you will all follow along. Don’t forget to follow on all of your social media outlets!
Have a Great Day!

If you are thinking of organized tours on your next cruise… Bernard’s tours in St Maarten was awesome as was Thenford Grey in St Kitts.
We did an island tour through the ship in St Thomas and was not very good at all. I recommend reviewing trip advisor and booking on your own.

I’m showing your St. Maarten suggestion to my friends that I’m going with. I can’t wait to show you the tour that we are doing in St. Lucia. It is going to be amazing!
